Norman Cohen is a real estate lawyer in practice at Asserson Law Offices in Israel and the UK.

Prior to joining ALO Norman had over 35 years experience in English real estate law having trained in a 'West End' firm, and subsequently being a partner in two top London legal practices a leading Liverpool legal practice and a leading Manchester legal practice and working for a short while on a team of in-house legal counsel for a leading Israeli Real Estate Public Company.

Norman obtained an honours degree in Law from Sheffield University and obtained his Solicitors Finals from the then College of Law at Lancaster Gate in London.

Norman has also qualified for the Israeli Bar.

Norman has experience in a wide range of high profile and complex real estate transactions. He has particular expertise in investment acquisitions and disposals, forward purchases and funding, bank financing, site redevelopment and leasing work.

His former varied client base included UK and Israeli public and private property companies, retailers, syndicates and developers. Norman's numerous high profile deals include:

• The acquisition and redevelopment of the former British Airways terminal in West London to provide over 400 apartments and setting up the unit sales of the completed development
• The multi-million pound purchase and leaseback of a portfolio of Lloyds TSB Bank Branch Offices;
• The acquisition and funding of a large portfolio of multi-million pound single and multi-let office buildings throughout the UK for a quoted Israeli public company;
• The acquisition and funding of a large portfolio of multi-million pound office buildings and industrial estates throughout the UK for property syndicates
• The acquisition and forward funding of several office and industrial investments
• The management of and programme for the disposal of a multimillion pound portfolio of leasehold estate agents offices in the North West of England;
• Acquisition and subsequent disposal of a city centre commercial and residential development together with shop lettings and apartment sales;

Norman is married and lives in Israel with his children and grandchildren.
