Baruch Baigel is a trainee solicitor at Asserson Law Offices.

He graduated from Cambridge University with a First Class Honours Degree in Law in June 2005 having been awarded the Simmons and Simmons Prize for the top mark in contract law and the John Hall Prize for the top mark in family law in July 2004. In 2006 Baruch won the Baker & McKenzie Law Link Scholarship to study in Harvard Law School where he received a Masters in Law (LLM) and graduated with ‘A’ grade average. He completed the BPP Legal Practice Course with Distinction in London in June 2008.

Baruch’s work experience has been diverse. He has worked in the Government Legal Service, both in the Law Commission as a researcher and in the Land Law Division assisting in the drafting of statutory provisions. He has undertaken mini-pupillages at Bedford Row Chambers shadowing barristers in both criminal and commercial matters. Outside the law, Baruch has filled numerous teaching posts, including Head Teacher of the Immanuel College Sunday School in 2007-2008 and Affiliate Lecturer in Modern Jewish Law at the London School of Jewish Studies.

Since joining Asserson Law Offices in September 2008, Baruch has been involved in various aspects of commercial work including complex negligence litigation in the Cayman Islands. He has assisted in a broad range of matters, in particular property related disputes, as well as general commercial litigation. He has also assisted in our corporate department, where he has assisted in the drafting of complex commercial contracts.

Baruch is married and lives in Israel.
