Ariel Ezrahi is a corporate lawyer at Asserson Law Offices, where he manages the Tel Aviv office of the firm. Ariel trained at Allen & Overy in London and, before joining Asserson Law Offices, worked in the London office of Lovells.

Ariel specialises in international corporate transactions with particular experience in the Middle East, Europe and the former Soviet Union. His areas of expertise include advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, capital markets and private equity transactions, with particular emphasis in share and asset sales, JV arrangements, corporate reorganisations as well as commercial arrangements.

Ariel also has specialist experience in oil & gas work as well as renewable energy transactions and has worked on some of the largest global deals to date.

Ariel is a practising solicitor in England & Wales. He obtained his LL.B. (Hons.) from Manchester University, LL.M. (Distinction) from Georgetown University and M.Phil. in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from St. Antony’s College, Oxford, where he graduated with the equivalent to a First Class degree. In addition to English and Hebrew, Ariel speaks Arabic. He has published extensively on Middle Eastern economic and legal issues.

Past experience includes:

  • Representing an oil major - in relation to its interests in the Shtokman field in Russia and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline;
  • Representing a local community - in relation to a project for producing photovoltaic solar energy.
  • Representing a major Australian fund - in relation to various corporate organization issues and the sale of assets;
  • Representing two Japanese companies - in relation to Arab-Israeli boycott issues;
  • Representing a major Indonesian entity - in relation to the sale of an upstream oil interest;
  • Representing a major Chinese oil company - in relation to its acquisition of assets from a major Gulf oil company;
  • Representing a major UAE entity - in relation to the acquisition of assets in North Africa;
  • Representing a major UAE entity - in relation to a joint venture with a major European oil company;
  • Representing Crédit Agricole - in relation to a $260 million purchase of a Ukrainian bank;
  • Representing a sponsor of an offshore renewable energy company - in relation to admission to AIM;
  • Representing Centrica - in relation to one of the world’s largest wind farm projects;
  • Representing a major Canadian energy company - in relation to an LNG project in Yemen; and
  • Representing a Middle Eastern individual - in relation to various investments in Libya.
